# Errors, retries and limits

> Handle admission failures and uncertain outcomes safely.

The receiver returns structured errors for invalid credentials, unsupported input, size and duration limits, rejected URLs and unavailable service configuration. Direct audio is limited to 256 MiB and four hours; transcript JSON is limited to 25 MiB. The MCP JSON submission boundary is 64 KiB; use the receiver for audio and larger transcripts.

Audio URL ingestion rejects private-network targets and unsafe redirects. An expired or re-signed URL can change the request intent. Replace the URL and use a new idempotency key; inspect the original result first if its outcome is unknown. A dropped connection after transfer may still have admitted the input. Repeat the *same* request with the same key before deciding it failed. A different key can admit duplicate work.

An accepted input can wait for funding or fail during transcription or analysis. Keep reading its status and `next_actions`. Adding credit resumes eligible waiting stages through the existing recovery sweep. A checkout return URL is not proof of funding; wait for credit to appear in Usage after Stripe fulfillment. No general rerun endpoint is exposed.

List and detail reads require current workspace authority. `interaction_id` and `external_conversation_id` filters are mutually exclusive. `source` accepts `api`, `deepgram` or `zoom`; a filtered cursor belongs to its original filters. Native Zoom additionally requires current recording visibility. Treat 403/404 as an authorization or visibility boundary rather than enumerating IDs.
