# Integrations overview

> Connect operational systems to the Atlas object and semantic model.

Atlas integrates with systems of record, systems of engagement, communication platforms, data warehouses, and agent tools. Common categories include CRM, CCaaS, HRIS, WFM, payroll, CMS, knowledge bases, and analytics stores.

An Atlas integration does more than move payloads. It preserves identity, maps source data into governed semantics, and defines what may happen when the system or an agent acts on that context.

## Integration patterns

| Pattern | Best for |
| - | - |
| Batch ingestion | Historical loads and scheduled reconciliation |
| Event-driven ingestion | Timely operational changes |
| Query or export | Downstream analytics and governed delivery |
| Webhooks | Atlas-originated notifications and workflow signals |
| MCP | Tool discovery and agent-mediated actions |

Availability varies by workspace and product surface. Confirm the supported transport before implementation.

## Production qualities

A credible integration is idempotent, observable, replayable, and tenant-safe. It defines source ownership, identity normalization, deletion behavior, freshness, reconciliation, and escalation before go-live.
